This form will not generate a call for service over the radio to an officer. If you have an emergency, please call 911. If you wish to speak with an officer immediately, but it's not an emergency, please call Lawrence County Sheriff's Office at (417) 466-2131.

Officers within the Mt. Vernon Police Department make contact with numerous citizens each and every day. That contact may be through your call for service, a motorist assist, a walk-in at City Hall, or even a traffic stop. Many citizens have helped us stop criminal activity through tips. If you have any information about drugs, crime, stolen property, etc, please send us a tip through the form below. Please be as descriptive as possible with the information such as a subject name or alias, subject description, vehicle information (license plate if possible), nature of the complaint/concern, and a location. You can choose to remain anonymous if you wish, but if you wish for an officer to contact you, we will need your contact information.

There is also an option to select to request extra patrol at your residence if you're going to be out of town or another reason, which you should include in the message.
